sanya

The second day we arrived at Haikou we realized that this isn’t the city that we longed for. It was cloudy and humid. So we decided to take the bullet train down south to another city called Sanya. Sanya is such a beautiful city with sandy beach down the whole coast, exclusive hotels that offered seaview rooms and hot springs.

The hotel we stayed at was absolutely wonderful compared to the hostel we lived in Haikou (not my idea from the start…) We went bathing almost every evening and bathed in the hot spring twice. And there’s so much palm trees everywhere in Sanya! Really reminded me of Spain, actually. During the evening near the streets at our hotel people came out with their wagons and served fresh seafood. We ordered clams, veggies, fried noodles, meat and chicken wings for only RMB 85 and the food was much better than the food served at restaurants! (Sorry folks no photos!) Sanya is definitely a place I would recommend to travel to if you want a tropical getaway!

We booked the flight tickets through a Chinese websites that was really difficult to get through because all the information is provided in Chinese and they required a Chinese bank card when paying. I think it took us about half a day to book these. Cost us RMB 1770 per person. And we found the hotel on the internet, but don’t know precisely where. That’s for now xxx
